The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing bills, managing payments to vendors, reconciling transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role collaborates with internal teams and external vendors, utilizing technology to optimize processes and maintain elevated levels of accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions
  • Review and record bills, per diems, expense reimbursements, and mileage reimbursements
  • Request, receive, and verify requirements of vendor’s certificate of insurance
  • Prepare and schedule vendor payments weekly
  • Prepare credit card expense reports, audit receipts, and reconcile transactions
  • Produce time and cost reports for Production Team to utilize in preparation for client billings
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies if any
  • Maintain an accurate and organized filing system for financial information, records, and documents in various systems
  • Monitor outstanding checks and reissue as necessary
  • Investigate inquiries professionally to maintain vendor relations
  • Process 1099 filings
Responsibilities
  • Enforce processes to ensure compliance
  • Manage workflows and reduce bottlenecks to improve efficiency
  • Support the CFO by preparing ad hoc reports
  • Additional tasks or projects may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Attention to detail: crucial for accurate vendor invoice processing and reconciliation
  • Communication skills: clear and concise delivery of financial information
  • Problem-solving skills: ability to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies
  • Knowledge of accounting principles: understanding of basic accounting policies and procedures
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • Experience with Quick Books, Excel, and Outlook
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • This role routinely requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
  • This position may require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to operate various electronic devices.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hybrid role, defined as a combination of remote and in-office / On-site work within the Greater Seattle Area (King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties).
You must work in the office at least 3 days a week. The office operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mighty Media’s workplace policies are subject to change at any time based on business necessity and manager discretion.

Compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
