Event Technician (Part Time), Audio Visual - Inter Continental Bellevue

Position Overview

A Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.

• Accurately and timely set up, operate, and break down basic audiovisual equipment.
• Exceed expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
• Maintain positive relationships with all clients through effective communication.
• Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
• Understand and foster the hotel/client relationship.
• Demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve equipment and software issues.
• Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
• Use equipment sheets to determine scheduled setup and strike.
• Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
• Increase revenue by utilizing floor up‑selling techniques.
• Finalize invoices with clients.
• Complete order entries in Navigator as needed.

• High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.
• Internal applicants must complete all training and certifications required by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program within one year.
• External applicants must complete all training and certifications required for this position within one year.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio‑visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members who operate company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Hotel or convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and dust. Working times include irregular hours, on‑call status, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.30 – $21.50 per hour.
