The Kid Zone Assistant Teacher will possess strong educational skills, with a background in classroom teaching or group tutoring. In collaboration with the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher will provide high quality youth programs to our members, bringing a positive, professional attitude, and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.

Primary Job Functions
- Supervise and ensure safety of children in KIDS ZONE.
- Engage in warm, caring interactions and fun, imaginative play with children.
- Implement positive guidance techniques and maintain classroom control.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and environment.
- Check in children and or rotate positions within KIDS ZONE.
- Contact parents via phone system in accordance with our use policy
Communication and Relationships
- Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate
- Provide membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information
- Active participation in required events, required programs, required meetings and required trainings
Other Job Functions
- Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Previous childcare experience preferred.
- Infant/Child/Adult CPR Certification required (From either Red Cross or American Heart Association).
- TB test results (results can be from up to 12 months prior to hire date.

- It is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant or angry people with the need to problem solve difficult situations.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to climb or balance and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally sit for extended periods and regularly walk around the facility.
- Must occasionally talk and hear.
- Must frequently move 10 pounds, and in the event of an emergency lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required, but not limited to close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
