Hours:

8 AM to 4:30 PM

Rate:
Starting at $45,500 (with minimal experience and in-training) or $52,000 (with completed credentials and lead experience) annually.

Mission Statement

Bellevue Montessori School develops an academically, socially, emotionally, and culturally educated community of students within the framework of acceptance, compassion, and understanding, all in accordance with the traditional Montessori curriculum and philosophy. We support each student in building a foundation for life‑long learning in preparation for future educational endeavors.

Qualifications
  • Must be working towards their Toddler Montessori Credential via AMI, AMS, MACTE or MEIPN or recently graduated with a Toddler Montessori Credential.
  • Working toward an accredited MACTE, AMI, or AMS Montessori certification is preferred.
  • Must genuinely enjoy engaging with toddlers and have patience, empathy, and a nurturing presence.
  • Should demonstrate an understanding of toddler development (even if informally).
  • Prior Montessori experience is not mandatory, but curiosity and willingness to learn the philosophy are crucial.
Responsibilities
  • Passion for Working with Children
    • Enjoy engaging with toddlers and demonstrate patience, empathy, and nurturing presence.
    • Understand toddler development and show Montessori knowledge or interest.
  • Prepared Environment & Classroom Support
    • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, Montessori-prepared environment.
    • Help prepare Montessori materials and lessons under guidance.
    • Ensure all materials meet Montessori standards and are developmentally appropriate.
  • DCYF Licensing & Health Standards Compliance
    • Maintain classroom cleanliness per DCYF guidelines.
    • Daily sanitization of high‑touch surfaces and materials.
    • Proper food handling and storage.
    • Safe diapering/toileting practices.
    • Maintain a safe, hazard‑free environment and support compliance with safety protocols.
  • Observational & Record‑Keeping Skills
    • Observe students and track progress, using tools like Transparent Classroom.
    • Assist with documentation of lessons and student mastery.
  • Team Collaboration & Professional Growth
    • Work well with Head Teachers, Learning Specialists, and Directors.
    • Open to feedback, training, and professional development opportunities.
    • Help with classroom newsletters, parent education events, and progress reports.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
    • Able to stand for long periods.
    • Strong attendance, punctuality, and flexibility.
    • Accredited Montessori Certificate required.
