Every building has a teacher the others ask about routines, transitions, and the student who won't settle down. We're hiring classroom management specialists to train K-12 educators, and we'd like to find them in Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett, and Renton.
Specialists present our classroom management training to teachers and school staff, at schools or online, in full or half days. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness has done this work since 1993, and it has reached more than 400,000 educators in all 50 states.
Specialists are 1099 independent contractors. Hours aren't guaranteed, and the number of trainings changes from one year to the next. A training day typically pays $1,000 or more, with payment every Friday.
Most trainings come from schools you approach on your own, and certification walks you through the outreach approach. Your National Director handles each contract and the negotiation once a school wants to book. We don't use territories, so you're free to train in your district, around Puget Sound, or anywhere in the U.S.
You'll start with our virtual Weekend Certification, which runs 36 hours over three days on two weekends. It's eligible for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global. Every new specialist also gets an orientation, ready-made training materials, and ongoing support.
Current and former K-12 teachers make strong specialists, and we also welcome coaches, counselors, deans, and principals. Most keep their school positions and train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and in the summer. Students may apply if they intend to complete certification.
