This position is for a hands‑on Field Service Technician who will support Rivian vehicle repairs. The role requires a collaborative, team‑oriented individual capable of working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. While the role is based in a primary location, it may require operating remotely or traveling to various locations, including the production plant, to provide vehicle support as business needs demand.

• Perform or assist with assigned vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field at customer homes, businesses, or other convenient locations.
• Identify and explain the Rivian product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Utilize available technical resources to follow Rivian repair procedures efficiently without compromising quality or safety.
• Conduct road tests to ensure the quality of repairs.
• Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Identify areas of improvement and provide feedback to senior technicians or leadership.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Ensure that all work and technical notes are properly documented for internal and external use.
• Work collaboratively with a team spirit and maintain high‑quality work with minimal supervision.
• Communicate with a high level of professionalism in customer‑facing situations.
• Stay current with technical skills and complete required training.
• May require regular interaction with customers, families, third‑party affiliates, and suppliers within Rivian facilities, on mobile service routes, or at community outreach events.

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, no suspensions or revocations within a 3‑5 year period.
• Preferred ability to drive a non‑commercial truck and trailer.
• Available for a 40‑hour work week, which may include weekends, holidays, and shifts during early morning, evening, or overnight hours.
• Proficient with laptops or computers in Windows or Mac environments.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, and frequently use hands for grasping tools and data entry.
• Fluent English reading, speaking, and writing.
• Ability to see, read, and interpret documents such as regulations, safety rules, and schematics.
• Hands‑on automotive shop experience is highly preferred; recent automotive graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Open to various experience levels, from entry‑level to career technicians.
• Background in electric vehicle (EV) or hybrid repair is a plus.
• Experience in start‑up environments preferred.
• Experience with parts departments, billing, and work order management systems preferred.

Salary Range/Hourly Rate: Washington–based applicants: $25.88 – $38.10 per hour (actual compensation determined by experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
