Position Title:

Supplier Project Engineer

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Supplier Project Engineer opportunity.

• Manage supplier performance through the application of project management tools and cost, schedule, submittal/deliverable, and resource oversight
• Facilitate supplier selection activities with requests for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the full bid, evaluate, and award phase.
• Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with the supplier.
• Develop statements of work (SOW) and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives.
• Coordinate the technical review process of supplier deliverables and ensure appropriate responses.
• Manage technical interfaces between supplier projects and the reactor technical team.
• Provide support to contract administration and commercial activities as needed to implement projects.
• Manage the submittal process between the supplier and the Reactor Team.
• Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes, and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Reactor.

• 8+ years’ experience in supplier oversight required
• A technical degree, preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required
• Preference for experience in the procurement of electrical and instrumentation, or vessels and piping
• PMP certification or equivalent training preferred
• Experience in managing cost and schedule in Safety-Related manufacturing and construction
• Experience in the qualification of components and Commercial Grade Dedication
• Demonstrated skills in the technical direction of suppliers and in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
• Experience with data packages associated with NQA-1 system and component procurements.
• Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
• Experience defining supplier scope, including development of statements of work and requests for proposal
• Must have experience with project controls and organization, along with tools and processes to support the same.
• A broad understanding of the various engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
• Strong communication skills desired

• Actual position, starting level, and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.
• Travel Required:
  
  0-25% (Can increase as supplier oversight requires).

• Pay Rate Range: $56-$95/hr (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education, and experience)
