Electrical Engineer

Description Position Summary

Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineer for vertical infrastructure projects in the Federal and state & local government markets.

• Designing low- and medium-voltage power systems,
• Designing lighting and associated control systems
• Designing fire alarm and mass notification systems
• Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction
• Performing periodic construction site visits
• Mentoring less experienced staff
• Assisting with business development activities
• Some travel is required.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical emphasis from an accredited college or university.
• At least four years of relevant experience
• Salary range based on 2-5 years of experience. More experienced individuals are welcome to apply.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
• Experience with electrical design of buildings including low- and medium-voltage power distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm and mass notification systems.
• Experience with 3D building modeling (Revit preferred); experience with lighting design software (AGI
  32 preferred), power design software (SKM Power Tools and/or Easy Power preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Ability to prepare construction documents.
• Experience coordinating engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of codes, statutes, and laws related to building design and construction.
• Ideal candidate has performed vertical infrastructure work for DOD or FHWA

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $95,000 - $105,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
