About

The Role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our vendors (GPU/CPU, Thermal & Cooling system, Network). This role requires a deep understanding of compute manufacturing processes and quality management systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem‑solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of driving continuous improvement with our key vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics, including defect rates and delivery timelines.
  • Manage and resolve supplier quality issues, including non-conformances and deviations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure components meet design specifications.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve product quality and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues early in the development and manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Directly participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a robust QMS aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the data center industry and compute manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Keen understanding of hardware manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Effective communication and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
  • Experience in vendor management and supply chain quality control.
  • Experience with additional scripting languages or automation tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QMS software and ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
  • Travel 25–50%.
Nice to Have
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar.
  • Experience in the High Performance Compute sector.
  • Experience with lean principles.

The base salary range for this role is $157,000 to $210,000
. The starting salary will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
