Position Overview
Terra Power, LLC. is hiring a Digital Systems Instrumentation and Control Engineering Intern. This position reports directly to the Manager, Non‑Safety I&C - EIC. As an intern Digital Instrumentation Engineer for Sodium Fast Reactor technologies Natrium Team, you will interface with scientists and engineers internally and externally to navigate input/output, internal and external interface data sets for digital instrumentation and control (I&C) systems, hardware, software and firmware used in Generation IV advanced nuclear reactor technologies.
Responsibilities- Developing and managing spreadsheets.
- Gathering, querying and cleaning data from various sources.
- Analyzing datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and holes.
- Providing actionable insights to guide decision‑making.
- Using statistical techniques to analyze data and forecast trends.
- Identifying and implementing data integrity checks.
- High degree of trust and integrity, open communication, respect, and teamwork desire.
- Experience with industrial data sets, diagnostics, audit, inspection, review, verification and validation of I&C data points, reporting and communicating data misalignment findings.
- Strong background in database development and management used in mission‑critical industrial applications.
- Previous experience with nuclear reactor safety systems or nuclear instrumentation systems desired.
- Familiarity with design control and development in accordance with nuclear power plant quality assurance (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA‑1).
- Excellent technical writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and aspiration for technical excellence.
- Self‑starter and ability to coordinate with a team with minimal direction.
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous tasks requiring a multidisciplinary approach.
- Motor Abilities:
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control. - Physical exertion:
Minimal, able to lift up to 25 pounds. - Repetitive work:
Prolonged. - Special senses:
Visual and audio focused work. - Work conditions:

Hourly rate range*
- Undergraduate: $22.65 – $29.65
- Graduate: $40.43 – $43.89
- Ph.D.: $43.89 – $51.71
