We are seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. The role owns a process/product roadmap and ensures delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. This unique opportunity is at a critical juncture in Amazon’s growth, driving end‑to‑end product delivery from inception to execution. We want hand‑on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high‑value programs.
Success requires influencing and working with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies, including Worldwide Engineering & Design, Worldwide Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, Operations and Safety. The engineer will innovate at scale, drive the development roadmap, manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity, and advocate for the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery stations.
Responsibilities- Initiate, define, plan and manage the rollout of product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
- Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
- Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
- Lead product execution with high discipline and engage product development teams.
- Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership frequently, using strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap, owning part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
- Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
- 30% travel based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
- 6+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of manufacturing equipment development experience.
- Experience in program or project management, including delivery of cross‑functional projects.
- Experience using CAD technologies such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Solid Works, CREO, BIM
360, Sketch Up or Key Shot.
- Master’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
- Experience with in a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products:
Excel, Project and Outlook. - Experience designing complex systems for automation in logistics or manufacturing, or experience with product development in automotive, aerospace, automation equipment or related field.
- Experience leading large‑scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in the lowest market up to $177,900/year in the highest. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments and other forms of compensation may be part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and other benefits.
