As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and performing various electrical project requirements.
What You Will Do- Collaborate in monitoring project planning, execution and closure.
- Assist in managing permit applications, obtaining permits, and scheduling inspections as needed.
- Establish and maintain project management and administrative files.
- Research, acquire and organize submittals and Operations & Maintenance manual materials.
- Maintain meticulous records of incoming and outgoing submittals.
- Update and manage drawing sets, both electronically and in hard copies.
- Organize and maintain project correspondence.
- Help create and oversee field installation work packages and monitor overall schedule progress.
- Assist in implementing and entering Purchasing Orders (POs) and PO Changes.
- Aid in estimating and tracking Potential Change Orders (PCOs).
- Assist in writing and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Contribute to the preparation and substantiation of job billing.
- Attend regular project status meetings.
- Provide support to Project Management and Field Management teams as needed.
- Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
- Maintain a physical presence onsite and regularly visit jobsites to oversee progress and provide assistance to the project management team as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Construction Management or related field, and/or 2 years electrical construction industry experience, or relevant field experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
- Familiarity with software-based estimating, accounting, scheduling and project management systems, with knowledge of Accubid, considered a plus.
- Understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles, a plus.
- Ability to learn electrical estimating to produce job change orders, evaluate and apply job estimates and assist with new estimates.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

$36 - $44 an hour
Special Requirements /Physical Demands/
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with minimal health or safety hazards. Noise level and temperature is moderate. Minimal lifting or climbing. This position is expected to be fully in-person, with some travel such as, but not limited to, other offices, work sites and local business errands.
When performing project services in the field:
Work is primarily performed in an outdoor field setting with occasional exposure to health or safety hazards such as, but not limited to, electrical hazards, water hazards, hazardous terrain, inclement weather conditions, traffic and loud noises.…
