Overview

The wireless telecommunications project lead will work on various projects assigned by a manager or lead engineer, leading the entire design process across data center environments.
This on‑site role is located at our Baton Rouge, LA site. While the opportunity is available at any U.S. location, we intend to hire the best candidates and work closely with clients in the Data Center market.
Responsibilities- Design Wireless systems in iBwave and EDX
- Coordinate with BIM designers to create drawing packages
- Communicate with AHJ’s, radio system owners, and carriers
- Create or modify Division 27 specifications
- Conduct site visits and review technical documents
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing wireless telecommunications systems, including LMR 2‑way radio, Public Safety DAS, and Commercial DAS
- Experience with iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or equivalent modeling tools
- Experience working with clients to define wireless communication needs
- Proficiency troubleshooting field issues and optimizing networks during installation
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, IFC section 510, and carrier KPIs
- Knowledge of NVIDIA GS, FCC part 20 and 90, FCC OET Bulletin 65, MOTOTRBO and DMR Tier III systems
- Experience with Navisworks and responding to RFPs
- Excellent project management skills and ability to create budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans
- iBwave Level 2 Certification required
- Designing Wi‑Fi systems
- EDX or Motorola design certifications
- FCC GROL and NICET Design Certification
- Multiple OEM product certifications
- Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering degree; EIT or PE

CompensationBase salary range: $ to $ per year. Pay is determined by location and other factors such as experience and education.
