Environmental Scientist / Geologist
Our Washington-based Environmental Services team is growing. We need a Project Manager to lead site investigation and remediation efforts. Qualified candidates have 9+ years experience in environmental science or geology, project management in the environmental field, and strong interest in environmental assessment, geotechnical investigations, and remediation.
As Project Manager, you will manage site investigation remediation at select sites, focusing on communication, reporting, data analysis, field task management, and quality/technical reviews to achieve no further action status with the regulatory agency. You will thrive in a team environment that supports continuous learning.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients and determine a path forward for selected sites within existing portfolios; manage project deadlines.
- Oversee implementation of field projects:
Underground Storage Tank Site Assessment, Remedial Injection, Drilling oversight, soil logging, safety inspections. - Prepare complete reports: data gap work plans, technical reports on soil, groundwater, vapor impacts, Cleanup Action reports, RIFs, Closure reports.
- Provide quality and technical reviews of documents prepared by others.
- Interact and communicate effectively with team members.
- 9+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental due diligence, assessment, and remediation.
- Solid understanding of Washington’s environmental regulations (Model Toxics Control Act; MTCA).
- Familiarity with due diligence, complex assessments, and remediation preferred.
- Self‑starting, team‑oriented problem solver.
- Strong research, analysis, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Current 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
- 9+ years related experience.
