Project Engineer, Electrical Engineering

A highly detail-oriented Project Engineer to coordinate and maintain schedule adherence for 7 pilot sites. This role requires 50% travel to pilot site locations throughout the US for onsite commissioning events and testing. Travel will be heavier from August 2026 to March 2027, lighter in other months, averaging 50% travel. The engineer will work directly with internal teams and external partners, excelling at uncovering dependencies, proactively engaging stakeholders, and applying technical knowledge to identify and mitigate risks before they impact timelines

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent practical experience
• Extremely strong schedule/project management skill set (deliver results on time in spite of significant obstacles)
• 5+ years of experience in large infrastructure project construction and commissioning
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or sites
• Strong understanding of construction processes (site preparation, electrical installation, equipment commissioning)
• Experience working with General Contractors (GCs) and Electrical Contractors (ECs)
• Proven ability to identify and manage project dependencies across multiple work streams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messaging for different audiences
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time throughout the US
• Proficiency with project management tools and documentation systems

• Experience with EV charging infrastructure, power electronics, or electrical distribution systems
• Knowledge of DC fast charging equipment and communication protocols (OCPP, ISO 15118)
• Background in commissioning complex electrical or mechanical systems
• Familiarity with FMEA or similar risk assessment methodologies
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience working with OEMs on equipment integration and troubleshooting
• Experience in startup or pilot program environments
• Proven track record of proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation

• PMP (preferred, not required)

Intermediate Level

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bellevue,WA.
