Sr Tools Applications Engineer, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of more than 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Teamcenter System Administrator, you will be installing and deploying PLM integrated software on AWS infrastructure to support Amazon Leo internal business teams across multiple locations and provide user support.

Key job responsibilities:
As an MCAD Tools Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a stable, reliable set of Mechanical Computer Aided Design (MCAD) tools and database management for electrical engineering design, layout, and simulation engineers. You will anticipate tool needs, develop custom features and functionality, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, provide technical support, and create and develop processes to enable successful and rapid development of a leading‑edge low Earth orbit satellite constellation.

The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years experience in CAD software development and customization, with a strong focus on Siemens NX
• Extensive experience with NX Open and other relevant programming interfaces
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python and other .NET languages
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, engineering drawings, and product lifecycle management (PLM) concepts
• Experience integrating CAD systems with other enterprise software (e.g., PLM, ERP, simulation tools)

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience with aerospace or satellite design engineering
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) using Git Hub or other

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
