CAD Technician Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding mechanical engineer drafter who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing 3D families and layouts of material handling equipment using Autodesk Revit, as well as producing detailed specification documents. The role requires the ability to work independently with numerous stakeholders and deliver to a high standard.

• Develop 3D families and layouts of material handling equipment using Autodesk Revit.
• Produce detailed specification documents, up to 10 pages in length.
• Ensure quality and attention to detail in all designs.
• Simplify designs while maintaining strong communication skills.
• Deliver detailed drawing packets that include views, dimensions, and annotations following established standards and templates.

• Experience with Revit 3-D Software.
• Parametric solid modeling experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and layout design.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM field.
• 3+ years of experience working in a 3D environment.
• Experience with delivering detailed drawing packets for buildings.

• Strong parametric modeling and experience creating detailed families and/or parts that utilize code or functions to drive modularity.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment storage systems and warehouse design.
• Open to HVAC, Piping, or MEP Design.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD ACC, and Navisworks.
• Experience creating and/or improving upon drawing standards and SOPs.
• Familiarity with managing different levels of detail with scalability.

The role offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days on-site and 2 days working remotely.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
