Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Amazon Logistics Process Engineering team. This individual will be the owner of a process/product roadmap and ensuring delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery station including Multiple Modes of Transportation (MMOT). This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazons growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution.

We are looking for a hands‑on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Station including Multiple Modes of Transportation (MMOT).
  • Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
  • Lead execution of the product with high‑level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap. Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
  • 20% travel based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management.
  • Experience delivering results for large, cross‑functional initiatives/projects.
  • 7+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Experience using one or more of the following CAD technologies:
    AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Solid Works, CREO, BIM
    360, Sketch Up or Key Shot.
  • 8+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Automobile Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, or related occupation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field.
  • Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs.
  • Experience with design and/or implementation automation solutions, such as Conveyors, Sorters, high speed manufacturing and packaging lines, Robotic work cells.
  • Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or program.
