Position SummaryThe Patient Services Representative (PSR) represents the face of Proliance Surgeons and the first impression for our patients and their loved ones. The PSR acts as a liaison associate for patient appointments, accommodation, and access to the physician. This includes booking appointments including follow-ups, greeting patients, using appropriate medical terminology while verifying eligibility, processing necessary information to support that activity, and triaging with physicians and medical assistants on acute scheduling problems.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 10:30am to 7pm
- Assist with scheduling MRI appointments
- Check in/register patients, verify and update patient information
- Facilitate flow of patients by coordinating with the MRI technologist
- Other tasks such as filing records, faxing, taking phone calls, etc.
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Medical Reception experience: 1-2 years (desired)
- Ability to accurately type and enter data
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective
- Cooperation, flexibility
- Skill in organizing information that is accurate and complete
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff
- Ability to prepare records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Consistency and timeliness in attendance

Work may be performed in an office and clinical environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. May require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
