Tuesday
- Friday 7:00am - 5:30pm;
Tuesdays and Thursdays: assist with surgical turnovers, cleaning instruments and preparing materials for upcoming surgeries;
Wednesdays and Fridays: surgical tech in the operating room.

Position SummaryThe Surgical Technologist prepares and maintains the operating room for plastic and reconstructive procedures, ensures strict sterile technique and instrument readiness, and assists the surgical team during operations. This role is essential to patient safety, efficient surgical flow, and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the OR: set up instruments, equipment, supplies, and sterile drapes specific to plastic surgery procedures.
- Assist in surgical site preparation and maintain adherence to infection-control protocols.
- Manage and maintain instruments during procedures; anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments appropriately.
- Clean, sterilize, inspect, and organize instruments/equipment after cases to ensure readiness.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and staff to support smooth workflow and timely case turnover.
- Follow all safety, documentation, and sterile-field standards.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and OR protocols.
- Experience or training in surgical site preparation and instrument handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
- Prior experience in plastic surgery operating rooms.
- Advanced knowledge of plastic surgery procedures and instrumentation.
- Additional certifications in surgical technology or perioperative care.
- Strong time‑management and instrument maintenance skills.
- Meticulous attention to sterile technique and detail.
- Efficient instrument handling and organization.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and situational awareness.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and contribute to rapid case turnover.
