Senior Applied Scientist, Generative AI Innovation Center

Amazon Web Services (AWS) invites an experienced Applied Scientist to lead the Generative AI Innovation Center team, designing and deploying specialized AI solutions for customers. The role combines customer interaction, rapid experimentation, and cross‑team collaboration to deliver high‑impact AI products.

• Collaborate with AI/ML scientists and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate generative AI solutions for real‑world challenges.
• Interact directly with customers to understand business problems, guide implementation, and brief adoption patterns.
• Support customers through prompt engineering, model selection, training or fine‑tuning.
• Provide market and customer feedback to product and engineering teams to shape product direction.

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

• Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit‑learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensor Flow, Num Py, Sci Py etc.
• Experience with large‑scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.
