Job Summary:

The IT Data and Security Support Analyst manages device and network security, implements data analytics platform, and keeps the school at the forefront of innovation and privacy protection. The position also plays a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience for students. The IT Data and Security Support Analyst is passionate about technology, detail‑oriented, and has a high level of accuracy to help drive our technology initiatives forward.

Specific

Responsibilities:
  • Manages and maintains core IT systems, including Microsoft Cloud services (such as Entra , Intune, Defender Endpoint, Purview, and CoPilot).
  • Oversees network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, SCCM, and communication systems.
  • Develops and coordinates security policies and compliance, leads annual security assessments, and promotes cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
  • Monitors security alerts and executes incident response, vulnerability remediation, and threat mitigation.
  • Ingests data into analytics platform, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Utilizes data analytics to generate actionable insights that enhance student learning and optimize business processes.
  • Improves workflow efficiency using Microsoft Power Apps, automation, and AI‑driven solutions.
  • Actively engages in the life of the school and contributes to community‑wide events and programs.
  • Upholds and models the mission, values, and strategic priorities of STS.
  • Demonstrates respect for diverse perspectives and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Collaborates across departments and participates in team meetings to support a cohesive preschool through eighth grade experience.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion.
  • Adheres to school policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned by the Director of IT.
Requirements and

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; network or security certifications preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and systems administration; experience with Meraki systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing Microsoft Intune and Defender Endpoint.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including firewalls and switches; knowledge of SCCM preferred.
  • Experience with cybersecurity practices such as policy development, incident response, and vulnerability management preferred.

    Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations (such as NIST) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, automation tools, and AI integrations preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and engaging in activities such as bending, crouching, or sitting on the ground.
  • Readiness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification, and maintain throughout employment.
  • Successful completion of required background checks in accordance with school policy and state regulations.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, flexible, and growth‑oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and community of STS.
