About the team:
The Global Governance Technology team develops advanced technology and AI solutions to safeguard Walmart, its associates, customers, and business operations across key governance and risk areas. The team addresses complex challenges in Security, Compliance, Investigations, Privacy, Legal, Product Safety, and Global Trade. Emphasizing accuracy, reliability, privacy, explainability, and scalability, the team leverages expertise in machine learning, data modeling, and predictive analytics to deliver impactful, trustworthy solutions that support critical business functions worldwide.
What you'll do:
Designanddeliverproduction-scalecomputervisionsolutionsacrossdetection,classification,tracking,segmentation,video understanding,anomaly detection,andmultimodalAI.Develop end-to-endpipelinesspanningdatacollection,labeling,training,evaluation,deployment,monitoring,andmodelimprovement.
Partner with Engineeringtooptimizeinference,latency,cost,andedge/cloud deployment.
Establishreusablecomputervisionframeworksandevaluationstandards,supportresponsibleAIandprivacyrequirements,andtranslatebusinessproblemsintomeasurabletechnicalsolutions.
Mentorotherscientistsandcontributetotechnicaldirectionacross Global Governance .
What you'll bring:
Deepexpertiseincomputervision,deeplearning,andappliedmachinelearning,withhands-onexperiencebuildinganddeployingproductionvisionsystems.
Strongknowledgeofmodernvisionarchitectures,video analytics,object detection,tracking,segmentation,multimodal models,andrepresentationlearningisexpected.
Experience with Pythonandframeworkssuchas Py Torchor Tensor Flow ,alongwithlarge-scaledatapipelines,model serving,andMLOps,is important.
Youshouldbringstronganalyticaljudgment,experienceworkingwithnoisyreal-worlddata,andtheabilitytoinfluencecross-functional teams.
