Overview
Universal Language Service, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (Pashto) (W-2 Employee). This on-site role is based at our Bellevue, WA corporate office and follows a Monday–Friday schedule.
Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM PST
Employment Type: Full-time, W-2
Languages Needed: Pashto and English
Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr

PositionRole: Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (Pashto) (W-2 Employee)
Responsibilities and Qualifications are described below.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver real-time OPI/VRI interpretation services in Pashto and English
- Assist interpreters with completing and updating profiles and documentation
- Follow up with interpreters to ensure records are current and compliant
- Maintain clear and professional communication with interpreters and internal teams
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and accuracy
- Coordinate interpreter assignments, efficiently manage schedules, and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of client requests
- Maintain interpreter account records, updating information related to assignments, availability, and billing accurately
- Proactively troubleshoot scheduling issues, providing timely and effective solutions
- Strong bilingual proficiency in English and Pashto
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage administrative documentation
- Ability to work full-time, on-site (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM PST)
- Prior interpretation experience preferred
- Medical DSHS or national interpreter certification/qualification (e.g. NBCMI, CCHI, Other) is a plus (support provided for those seeking DSHS Medical recognition)
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, interpretation, or translation
- This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Bellevue, WA corporate office
- Remote work is not permitted
- Candidates must pass a full-panel drug and alcohol screening and a national criminal background check
- Education and professional background as listed above; certifications are a plus where applicable
