Viome is on a mission to make illness optional by unlocking the power of RNA, AI, and systems biology to deliver truly personalized health insights and interventions. We’ve built the world’s most advanced diagnostics and consumer health platform — and now we’re scaling the consumer business significantly over the next three years.

We’re looking for a bold, data‑driven Head of Marketing to lead Viome’s marketing function and transform how millions of consumers engage with their health.

As Head of Marketing, you will own the entire marketing engine — performance, brand, lifecycle, partnerships, and PR — to drive profitable growth and brand leadership in a crowded health and wellness category. You’ll be both a strategic architect and a hands‑on operator, leading a team of marketers while building new capabilities across channels, storytelling, and community.

This role requires a rare mix of science storytelling, performance marketing rigor, and category‑building creativity. You’ll translate Viome’s groundbreaking science into a consumer‑friendly brand and deliver repeatable, scalable growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Own marketing strategy, budget allocation, and performance: against CAC, LTV, ROAS, and revenue contribution.
  • Scale performance marketing: optimize paid media (search, social, programmatic, affiliates) to improve CAC efficiency and scale spend.
  • Build a strong brand: elevate Viome from “gut test kit” to trusted consumer health platform through messaging, campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Lead lifecycle marketing: develop CRM, email/SMS, retention, and subscription growth strategies to drive LTV including consumer onboarding, retest engagement, subscription attach, and churn reduction. Support practitioner engagement and activation journeys.
  • Product Launches: Partner with Product and Science on new product development, positioning, naming, and go‑to‑market for diagnostic and digital offerings (Consumer + Pro).
  • Expand channels: grow influencer, and affiliate programs in partnership with commercial leads including consumer influencers and practitioner/clinical ambassadors.
  • Tell the science story: translate diagnostics, RNA, and AI into clear, compelling consumer narratives

  • Creative Leadership: Lead creative direction across brand, campaigns, digital, radio, influencer content, and educational materials; manage internal creative team and agencies.
  • Lead and grow the team: mentor, recruit, and scale a high‑performing marketing org across growth, brand, creative, and lifecycle.
  • Cross‑functional leadership: work closely with Product, Customer Experience, Sales, and Ops to ensure consistent consumer experiences including Sales on practitioner lead generation and activation.
  • Be the voice of the customer: champion insights, research, and experimentation to refine product‑market fit.
  • Shape Viome’s reputation: oversee PR, communications, and influencer/ambassador strategies.
Who You Are
  • 10–15+ years of progressive marketing leadership in high‑growth consumer businesses; healthtech, wellness, or DTC subscription strongly preferred; supplements a bonus.
  • Track record of scaling revenue and brand awareness. Deep expertise in performance marketing, CAC/LTV optimization, and full‑funnel attribution.
  • Strong brand builder with experience shaping a category, not just competing in one.
  • Skilled in lifecycle/retention marketing for subscription or membership businesses.
  • Inspiring leader who can build, manage, and scale a world‑class marketing team.
  • Highly analytical, fluent in data tools, but also a creative storyteller.
  • Comfortable in fast‑moving, resource‑constrained environments (startup or early‑stage growth company).
  • Bonus:
    Experience with healthcare compliance, diagnostics, or clinical brand storytelling.
