Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center night shift position requiring Epic experience and active WA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skilled in managing trauma, shock, cardiac dysrhythmias, respiratory emergencies, and neurological conditions
• Experience with IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration
• Experience managing psychiatric and behavioral health emergencies
• Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke Certified designation
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
• Provide emergency nursing care across pediatric, adult, trauma, psychiatric, and medical emergencies
• Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Manage ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment with no exceptions and no modifications after submission
• No block scheduling available
• Local travelers accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for rehire as a traveler
