Part Time Store Environment Team Member

Overview

Store Associate position at Michaels in Bellevue, WA. Maintains the overall look and cleanliness of the store and delivers friendly customer service. Applies to part-time, with varying shifts including nights and weekends.

$17.50/hr - $20.30/hr

• Maintain a high standard of store appearance and cleanliness, including cleaning and recovery to support brand promises.
• Provide friendly customer service, help customers shop, and assist them in finding what they need.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for cleaning and return items to correct placements.
• Clean assigned areas with approved materials and equipment; may mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Deep clean key areas (e.g., bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, high-traffic areas) to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and notify supervisor of supply needs in advance.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning, take initiative to complete tasks, and perform tasks as assigned by supervision.
• Work in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines; maintain positive interactions with team members and customers; model company values.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience, including cash handling to standards; engage customers on rewards programs and enrollments.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes (Buy Online Pickup in Store, Ship from Store) and participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies and standards to ensure compliance.

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching; ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves with ladders or similar equipment.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required; willingness to engage in interactive accommodations if needed.

• Public retail store setting; some outdoor work when unloading carts or fulfilling duties; climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals as part of routine responsibilities.
