Bakery Service Associate

Reporting to the Bakery Department Head (or their delegates), this position slices, cuts, packs, labels, and prepares various bakery products (bread, cake, and other pastries) in advance for customers to choose from. The position also stocks bakery goods onto sales‑area display cases and cooler displays, provides excellent customer service by fulfilling requests, and maintains inventory and workplace cleanliness.

• Greet customers with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude.
• Assist customers in selecting bakery products and provide recommendations.
• Ensure product quality, food safety, freshness, and strict FIFO practices.
• Slice, pack, and label bakery products; correctly display items in cases and display areas.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness by washing and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Keep product display full, attractive, and neat; replenish inventory as necessary.
• Verify and process expired products and manage shrinkage.
• Receive product deliveries, perform quality checks, and process customer orders.
• Complete daily sales and other checklists accurately.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

• Flexible to work shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays.
• Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) – a plus.
• Prepared to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
• Strong team‑player skills.
• Knowledge of basic workplace safety.
• Relevant experience and bakery product knowledge, with display, promotion, and packaging skills preferred.
