Assistant Receiver

Assistant Receiver – T & T Supermarket

Reporting to the Store Manager (or his/her delegate), the Receiving Associate is responsible to receive incoming products and handle product return, replacement etc. This position also needs to provide good service to vendors and staff, and keep the receiving equipment and workplace in a good status.

• Check the quantity, weight and quality of products during receiving; process & sort related invoices and documents
• Assist Department Heads to handle products returned & replaced; manage shrinkage & examine obsolete items
• Follow procedures to execute in-store transfers
• Ensure receiving machinery, equipment and working tools are under regular maintenance and well-kept
• Ensure receiving areas is organized, clear, unblocked and safe
• Control backdoor access and enforce relevant policies
• Greet vendors and staff by providing friendly service

• Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
• Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with products and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis
• Possess basic computer skills in MS Office
• Possess valid Fork Lift or Pallet Jack license
• Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises
• Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) an asset
• Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
