Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
Classic Collision, founded in 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia, is committed to safety, quality, integrity, and heart in every vehicle repair. We are seeking a Body Technician to join our collision repair team.

Responsibilities- Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
- Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
- Plan work procedure by following the work order for all listed operations.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to gain access to damaged areas; store parts on carts or cover to prevent damage.
- Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts, ensuring all gaps and fits meet industry standards. Remove damaged panels and bolts, weld replacement parts in position, and reassemble after painting.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns).
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning the vehicle over to the Paint Department.
- Repair or replace defective parts.
- Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Comply with all Classic Collision standard operating procedures, safety rules, and guidelines.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- I‑CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
- 2‑3 years of collision repair experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.

- Successful completion of a background check required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk for long periods. The employee may occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms and move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
