As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Auger you will design, develop and scale key components of our operating system architecture, powering next‑generation supply chain solutions. Your work will enable real‑time insights, AI‑driven optimizations and seamless automation, transforming how global logistics operate. You will mentor junior engineers, make impactful architectural decisions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to tackle challenging supply chain problems.

• Design and maintain scalable software for Auger’s platform, optimizing AI models and data pipelines to improve supply chain forecasting, planning, and management.
• Collaborate with AI scientists to integrate machine learning solutions into real‑time, customer‑facing applications.

• Architect and implement secure, high‑performing systems capable of processing large‑scale, real‑time logistics data.
• Build and scale RESTful and Graph
  
  QL APIs to support the seamless integration of applications and services across the platform.
• Develop fault‑tolerant, cloud‑native microservices that prioritize performance and maintainability.

• Contribute to system‑wide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and long‑term performance.
• Design solutions that integrate data processing, semantic intelligence, and AI workflows into the broader operating system.

• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high‑quality code.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams, including product managers and Dev Ops engineers, to ensure technical initiatives align with business objectives.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including a proven track record of designing and scaling complex systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on coding skills in Java, Python, or C++ and a deep understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and building scalable, distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and modern system architecture patterns.
• Prior experience building and maintaining SaaS platforms or enterprise‑grade applications.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented team environment.
• Experience contributing to architectural decisions and influencing system‑wide technical direction.
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional environment, collaborating with data engineers, AI scientists, and Dev Ops teams to deliver holistic solutions.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving high‑impact technical challenges with creativity and rigor.

Placement within the range is determined by experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include eligibility for equity awards or bonuses. The base pay range for this role is $225,000 – $300,000 per year.
