Sr. Staff Software Engineer – Money Team

Our Money team maximizes customer value from data projects through innovative commercialization strategies and cutting‑edge engineering, ensuring seamless billing, usage reporting, and cost optimization across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Design and manage Money services that commercialize all Databricks products.
• Develop pricing primitives for Pay‑As‑You‑Go, credits, trials, and promotions.
• Improve engineering reliability, throughput, and accuracy, including CI/CD, test frameworks, and data quality.
• Collaborate with commercialization experts to implement new pricing strategies.
• Leverage AI and LLMs for cost insight, prediction, and optimization.
• Become a subject‑matter expert on Databricks Data + AI tools.
• Provide vision and requirements leadership for Databricks products.
• Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences.

• BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 9+ years of experience building large, real‑time data processing and distributed service infrastructure.
• Proven track record of shipping reliable, distributed services and data pipelines at scale.
• Strong leadership skills with experience across functional and organizational boundaries.
• Proactive, high‑quality solution delivery mindset.

$217,000 – $288,400 USD per year (non‑commissioned role). Additional variable compensation, equity, and benefits may apply.
