Overview

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. The Nitro firmware team, part of Annapurna Labs, is positioned in the very heart of AWS technology engine. Looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer, to join us in building the next generation of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, design, maintain, deploy, monitor and support a very important component in the Nitro firmware.
  • Contribute to the Nitro firmware stack as part of the AWS Nitro team, collaborating with cross-functional teams across AWS.
  • Operate in a dynamic, open, fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality embedded software solutions.
Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience with embedded software development
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Fluent in C
  • Experience with hardware/software interfaces at both the board and chip level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of computer architecture
  • Experience with SoC development life cycle
  • Experience working in Linux environments
Additional Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
