Data Engineer II

Inte Pros is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support high-impact initiatives focused on cost, safety, and quality. This role is centered on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions, including data models, warehouses, and ETL pipelines that power large, visible projects. The Data Engineer will own their work streams end to end while partnering closely with product managers and other technical teams to deliver reliable, production-ready tools.

• Design, build, and maintain data models, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
• Develop scalable data solutions using modern programming languages and distributed systems.
• Build and support data infrastructure using relational and analytical databases, search technologies, and big data platforms.

• Create design documents and partner with product managers to define data engineering strategies.
• Build backend and frontend components that support user‑facing data tools.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and deployments.

• Communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements and explain technical decisions.
• Own projects independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Deliver high‑quality solutions with a strong focus on operational excellence.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours per week, with up to a 2-hour weekly overtime buffer). Day‑to‑day work includes drafting and reviewing design documents, collaborating with product managers, and building data pipelines and system components. The engineer may support multiple initiatives at once and will work closely with other developers and technical stakeholders. This is an onsite role with a chance for extension.

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala, or NodeJS).
• Knowledge of distributed systems for data storage and computation.
• Experience with data infrastructure such as relational analytic databases, search technologies, and big data platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality results.

• Java – Strong experience building and supporting production‑grade data systems.
• JavaScript – Experience supporting application or data‑related components.
• AWS – Hands‑on experience working with cloud‑based data infrastructure and services.
