Opportunity:

Flexport’s Global Operations team is the front line team responsible for successfully managing our Customer’s supply chains end to end. The team delights customers, manages partners and works closely with technology partners to drive innovation through process automation. With a focus on developing a global network, operational teams are strategically located worldwide to manage and execute services and products offered to customers and partners.

Flexport Global Operations raises the bar by using data to manage customers’ supply chains and identifies opportunities to improve fidelity in planning, responsiveness, and overall execution.

The Global Operations Associate is responsible for the ownership and execution of the end‑to‑end movement of global shipments within a regional network including Ocean LCL and FCL, Ocean imports and Air imports and exports. This role focuses on delivering a first‑class customer experience by obsessing over quality and on‑time performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Be the “front line” to ensure the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on‑time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
  • Be responsible for ensuring your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Own the client experience; solving client issues quickly and ensuring smooth operations at origin and destination, escalating issues as needed.
  • Your team will:
    • Seamlessly coordinate day‑to‑day logistics operations with internal and external partners such as steamship lines, air carriers, intermodal and drayage vendors, customs, trade lane management, warehousing, transloading, trucking, and the air operations team.
    • Execute the end‑to‑end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
  • Assist the shipments managed by partners as we drive partner autonomy (if applicable in a given region).
  • Quote and invoice client shipments with responsibility to their P&L.
  • Participate in Q  and M  presentation prep as well as hold client operational calls when deemed necessary.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting (ocean freight knowledge is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Able to adapt to new technology and can thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • Effective time management – be able to properly prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks
