Trauma / Acute Care Surgeon
Assignment Details

• Location: Bellingham, Washington

• Expected Duration: Approximately 6 Months
• Coverage Need: 3.0 FTE

• Hourly: $425/hour
• Overtime: $530/hour
• Holiday: $635/hour
• Night Call: $850/shift
• Call Back: $540/hour

• Day and Night Coverage
• 12-Hour Onsite Shifts
• 12 Hours of Backup Call Following Onsite Coverage
• Coverage Needed for Up to 6 Shifts Per Week
• Rounding and Admissions Required

• Acute Care Surgery and Trauma Patients
• Coverage Includes Emergency Department, Operating Room, and ICU
• Approximately 24 Patients Per Day
• Hospital Size: 241 Beds

• Provide Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Coverage
• Provide Emergency Department Trauma Coverage
• Provide Operating Room Coverage
• Provide ICU Coverage
• Perform Rounding and Admissions
• Perform All Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Procedures
• Manage Acute Surgical and Trauma Patients

• Provider May Work Independently
• Daytime APP Support Available
• Provider Works Solo Overnight
• Epic EMR

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery
  - Required
• At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Trauma / Acute Care Surgery
  - Required
• ATLS
  - Required
• Washington Medical License
  - Highly Preferred Due to Urgent Start
• Candidates Requiring Washington Licensure May Be Considered
• IMLC Accepted
• Epic Proficiency
  - Required
• COVID-19 Vaccination
  - Required, No Exemptions
• Must Have Documented 50 Trauma Cases Within the Previous 5 Years for Review by the Trauma Medical Director

• Documentation of Major Operative Experience Required
• Recent Clinical Activity From the Previous 12-24 Months Must Be Provided
• Recent Residency Graduates May Submit Residency Case Logs
• Experienced Physicians May Submit a Current Hospital Quality Profile Showing Clinical Activity, Procedures, Morbidity, Mortality, Infection Rates, and Other Complications
• If a Quality Profile Is Unavailable, Documentation of Hospital-Based Clinical Activity From the Previous 12 Months May Be Submitted
• All Trauma Cases During the First Year Are Subject to Peer Review in Conjunction With the Trauma Quality Improvement Program
