About

the Position

The Art & Art History Department maintains a vacancy pool of qualified persons interested in temporary teaching positions. In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non‑tenure track positions on a part‑time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary, full‑time appointments. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.

This pool is specifically for candidates interested in teaching art history courses.

Position Responsibilities

Instruction in various Art History courses assigned by Department Chair.

Required Qualifications
  • MA/MFA (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Commitment to working with diverse students and staff, including cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • University level teaching experience
