General Description Of Work
Whatcom Community College invites applications for part-time, adjunct faculty Psychology Instructor to teach in-person in our Psychology department starting spring quarter 2026 and to expand the pool of instructors for future positions that may occur.

Minimum Qualifications :
- A master's degree in psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
- Teaching experience in a post-secondary institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to teach in at least one of the following areas of interest: cognitive psychology, biopsychology, social psychology, or multicultural psychology - evidenced by graduate-level course credit with related additional research or teaching experience.
- PhD in psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
- Ability to effectively teach General Psychology.
Salary
- $5,899.00 to teach Psychology 101 spring quarter 2026. Potential increases to the salary for fall quarter are pending.
- Accrues a percentage of 7 hours (equal to the percentage of workload) per month of sick leave (ex. 50% quarterly employment contract x 7 hrs for full-time = 3.5 hrs per month for that quarter).
