About the PositionThe Department of Management maintains a vacancy pool for qualified persons interested in temporary teaching. In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non‑tenure track teaching on a part‑time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary, full‑time appointments. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.
There may be an opportunity to teach additional courses at the upper‑division or MBA levels depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.
The department, college, and university value teaching, and we expect you to be an excellent teacher, current in your discipline, and engaged in student learning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, preparing, and delivering courses that meet curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
- Using active learning strategies, clear assessment methods, and timely feedback in a student‑centered learning environment.
- Maintaining effective office hours and availability to students, faculty, and staff.
- Providing course evaluations and meeting department and university expectations for assessment and faculty development.
- Master’s degree (MBA, JD, or relevant graduate degree; PhD required for graduate courses).
- Demonstrated teaching experience and proficiency with technology‑enhanced learning.
- Academic or professional credentials that align with AACSB standards, including ongoing academic or professional activity.
- Commitment to cultivating an equitable, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse identities and backgrounds.
- PhD in Business or a closely related discipline.
- Experience teaching undergraduate students.
All employees must comply with our immunization policies, including proof of Rubeola measles immunity within 60 days of hire.
Compensation$1,625–$2,000 per credit, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
