Priority Listing Grade 5 Teacher

Whatcom Hills Waldorf School has an immediate opening for a Full Time Grade 5 Class Teacher to guide our fifth grade class through the remainder of this school year, with the potential of continuing into Grade 6 and beyond.

This is a full time, salaried position, with increments for Waldorf training and teaching experience. WHWS offers health insurance, matching retirement contributions, and tuition remission for faculty children.

Approaching our 40th anniversary, Whatcom Hills Waldorf School is a fully accredited member of AWSNA and WECAN, serving approximately 210 students. Our School offers a comprehensive educational experience through its well established parent/toddler program, nursery, two preschools, two kindergartens, and a full (1-8) grade school. Our grade school curriculum includes Fiber and Practical Arts, Eurythmy, Spanish, Gardening, Cyber Civics, Movement, Strings, Choir and Orchestra.

WHWS is situated on a beautiful, wooded campus, close to Lake Whatcom in the vibrant city of Bellingham, WA. Bellingham Bay is situated in the Pacific Northwest on the ancestral territory of the Coastal Salish people. From Bellingham, we enjoy majestic views of numerous lakes and rivers as well as the San Juan Islands and Cascade Mountains.
