Position OverviewPerform engineering assignments to support the centralized Energy Management Center and all associated mechanical and electrical components throughout the university system. Work includes system controls, maintenance, design, recordkeeping, troubleshooting, and creative analysis.
Responsibilities- Design, program, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical controls for building automation systems.
- Manage system monitoring, integration of new systems, and process optimization.
- Analyze data, produce reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with facilities personnel.
- Support installation, operation, and maintenance of energy management equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or four years of college coursework related to engineering studies.
- Seven years of progressively responsible HVAC engineering work.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE and IAQ standards for ventilation and mechanical systems.
- Experience with Siemens Apogee Building Automation Control Systems (BACS): DDC controls, PPCL, sequence of operation, and networked controls.
- Proficiency in SQL, MS Word, Access, Excel, and Windows operating system.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one prior to starting work.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) and OSHA rules.
- Knowledge of IBC, IPC, NFPA, and NEC regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Proof of Rubeola Measles immunity within 60 days of hire, fingerprint background check, and compliance with the university’s immunization policies.
Salary$5,219 - $7,013/month depending on qualifications and experience.
