Occupational Therapist (OT) - School-Based
Location: Washington
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: 1099 Contract
Pay: $65 - $80per hour

About Thrive Therapies GroupThrive Therapies Group is hiring Occupational Therapists (OTs) to support K-12 students in school-based settings across Washington. In this role, you will help students build the functional skills they need for greater independence, classroom participation, and success throughout the school day.
This opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who values student-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to make an impact beyond direct therapy sessions.
What You ll Do- Conduct school-based occupational therapy evaluations and reevaluations
- Develop individualized, functional IEP goals
- Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy services - Support student needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications - Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff on accommodations and strategies
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary school teams
- Maintain accurate service documentation, progress notes, and related records
- Bachelor s or master s degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
- NBCOT certification (OTR) in good standing
- Active Washington OT license, or documented initiation of licensure transfer - Knowledge of IDEA, the IEP process, and the educational model of occupational therapy
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- School-based occupational therapy experience
- Experience supporting K-12 students
- Sensory integration training - Experience with AAC or assistive technology
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in educational settings
