Industrial Painting/Blaster Job

Job Pay: $22–$25 DOE – (Company also does PW jobs, $43.50/hr generally is their PW rate)

Washington, Oregon, & Idaho

Office location:
Bellingham, WA (job sites vary)

Sandblasters use specialized equipment to apply sand or other abrasive materials to surfaces. They commonly work with metals, wood, ceramics, and other materials that are difficult to clean by hand. Sandblasting is used to smooth out rough spots on a surface, remove paint or rust, or prepare an object for painting or coating. Work environments could be at the shop, on a land‑based construction site, or shipyard.

• Set up sandblasting equipment
• Operate sandblasting equipment
• Set up containment structures for environmental controls and dust containment
• Equipment maintenance
• Cleaning brushes, rollers, and other equipment used for painting
• Repair damaged surface with putty or other fillers
• Mix and apply various industrial coating systems
• Handle and prepare waste for proper disposal

• Attention to detail
• Strong communication
• Follow Safety and OSHA protocols
• Comfortable with confined spaces, respirators, and heights
• Lift up to 50 lbs continuously
• Willing to travel with crews if needed;
  Stay and Per Diem is provided
