Volunteer Fund Developer

Minimum of 20 hours per month, flexible schedule.

• Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns and events (both virtual and in-person).
• Research and identify potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
• Draft donor communications, appeals, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure donor stewardship and timely follow-up.
• Support outreach efforts to engage new supporters via social media, email, and community events, including business sponsorship for annual events.
• Attend and represent the organization at fundraising events and networking opportunities.
• Provide administrative support to the Development team as needed.
• Attend relevant trainings, as available.

• Passion for the mission of Whatcom Family & Community Network.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with fundraising, development, marketing, or customer service is a plus.
• Familiarity with donor databases (e.g., Flipcause) is a plus but not required.
