LPN Clinic - Primary Care

Position Title

Licensed Practical Nurse – Primary Care Clinic (Part‑time, 0.50 FTE, Day position)

Peace Health is seeking an LPN for full‑time day nursing care at the LPN Clinic – Primary Care located in Fairhaven, Bellingham, WA. This role delivers quality patient care under physician direction and as part of an interdisciplinary interdisciplinary team.

• Assist physicians in direct patient care and treatment as directed.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist provider with examination.
• Under provider oversight, may conduct telephone triage using age‑specific triage protocols and computerized resources.
• Document patient care in the health record according to department standards.
• Obtain and convey information to and from patients, pharmacies, and other providers as directed and supervised by a licensed provider; may obtain referral authorizations for treatment as directed by provider.
• Ensure own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program required.
• Minimum of 1 year preferred: clinical experience as an LPN.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age‑specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
• Upon hire licensed practical nurse – Washington.
• Upon hire basic life support.

• Basic computer skills required including familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Must have cooperative working and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families, and staff.
• Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time.
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to function independently.
