Marr’s Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical is an established local company serving homeowners throughout Bellingham and the surrounding Whatcom County area
. We run every trade in the home, and we’re looking for experienced HVAC technicians who take pride in quality workmanship, a consistent in-home process, and an outstanding customer experience.
Marr’s is hiring an experienced HVAC Service / Maintenance Technician to join our Bellingham team. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems while running the Marr’s process in every home. At Marr’s, the process is the job: clear explanations, options for every customer, thorough documentation, and a home left cleaner than we found it.
Compensation$30–$35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Full-time position
Service, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits, to company and industry standards
Explain the work to the customer before you begin and walk them through what you did and found when you finish
Present three options on every opportunity, and offer the Marr’s Maintenance Agreement Plan (MAP) on every service and maintenance call
Quote repairs on-site using our HVAC flat-rate pricebook, invoice accurately, and collect payment before you leave
Complete checklists and job documentation on every call: equipment make, model, and serial number, fuel type, filter size, photos, materials, and pinned notes
Spot opportunities across every trade in the home, such as an aging electrical panel or failing water heater, and turn those leads over to the team
Handle refrigerant to company standard and identify warranty situations honestly on-site
Treat every home with respect: shoe covers on, Marr’s sticker on the equipment, and the home left cleaner than when you arrived
Keep your truck stocked, organized, and clean, and your tools maintained
Attend weekly HVAC service and safety meetings and monthly hands‑on training
2+ years of hands‑on residential HVAC service and maintenance experience
Ability to independently diagnose and repair HVAC systems, with strong electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant troubleshooting skills
Current EPA 608 certification
Comfortable presenting options and memberships to homeowners and following a consistent in‑home process
Detail‑oriented with documentation, checklists, and photos
Coachable: calls are recorded, and our managers use them to help you grow
Tech savvy and comfortable working from an iPad and field service software
Professional appearance and a commitment to wearing the full Marr’s uniform
Valid Washington driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Arrive by 7:45 AM (or dispatch from home) and work until the job is complete, at minimum until 4:00 PM
