Hire Quest Direct Bellingham is recruiting an experienced Class A CDL Driver for a local company hauling logs and timber throughout Northwest Washington.
This is an opportunity for an experienced commercial driver who enjoys working independently and is comfortable driving beyond standard highway routes. Drivers operate company-provided, newer-model Kenworth trucks on highways, mountain roads, logging roads, and other off-highway work areas.
Log-hauling experience is preferred, but it is not required. Our client is willing to train an otherwise qualified driver who has at least two full years of verifiable Class A driving experience and is ready to learn log hauling.
Compensation & Benefits- 30% commission per completed load, with performance-based opportunities for commission increases

Actual earnings are not guaranteed and vary based on attendance, available loads, productivity, and efficiency. Fuel surcharges are excluded from commission calculations.
What You'll Do- Safely and efficiently transport logs and timber products from forest sites to designated locations.
- Operate on highways, mountain roads, logging roads, and other off-highway work areas.
- Inspect assigned equipment and keep it in safe operating condition.
- Promptly report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns.
- Follow applicable laws, commercial-driving regulations, company procedures, and log-transportation safety requirements.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Communicate professionally and maintain dependable attendance.
- Manage assigned work responsibly and independently.
Applicants must have:
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least two full years of verifiable work experience operating vehicles requiring a Class A CDL
- Ability to safely operate on mountain roads, logging roads, and other off-highway work areas
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Dependable attendance and a professional approach to safety, equipment, and documentation
Important:
Two years of simply holding a Class A CDL does not meet the experience requirement. Applicants must have two full years of qualifying Class A driving experience.
Applicants must also meet the company's applicable driver and insurance eligibility requirements.
Experience We're Interested InLog-hauling experience is preferred, but not required.

- Dump trucks or side dumps

- Equipment hauling
- Farm or agricultural trucking
