Overview
Impact Environmental has an immediate opening for a motivated Environmental professional reporting to our Bellmawr, NJ office. A large part of the position will be on job sites around New Jersey and NYC.
Responsibilities- Knowledge of New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulations and guidance.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform and manage technical tasks such as fieldwork, including sampling, operations and maintenance of remedial systems.
- Well installation, soil boring, drilling and construction oversight.
- Compile and evaluate data and assist in report preparation.
- Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
- Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities.
- Report writing on environmental projects in the public and private sector.
- Participate in functions involving contact with client representatives.
- Work/coordinate/communicate with project team personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science is required.
- Direct experience in essential duties listed above, including demonstrated ability in technical writing.
- Direct experience in preparing documents such as Phase I and II ESAs, PAs, SIRs, RIRs, RAWs, RARs, and SPCCs is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; knowledge of computer-based CADD a plus.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training are strongly preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must, as well as the ability to thrive in a professional and team-oriented work environment.
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
