American Traveler is hiring an experienced Psychiatric RN for a Nights position requiring current phlebotomy skills and a VT or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active VT or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS and CPI certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience required
- Current phlebotomy experience required, including performing blood draws
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Small critical access facility experience preferred
- Must have own vehicle
- Work in a 10-bed inpatient psychiatric unit serving adult patients age 18 and over
- Unit serves residents of Vermont as well as Sullivan and Cheshire counties in New Hampshire
- Located within a small critical access hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM, 8-hour shifts
- 40-hour guarantee, though 36 hours will be considered for the right candidate
- Every other weekend required with holiday coverage as needed
- Call and call-back not applicable for this role
- Provide direct inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients
- Receive referrals from crisis teams, emergency departments, and outpatient providers in the community
- Block scheduling will not be considered for this position
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled:
Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend - RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and no more than 5 days will be accepted
