We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Control Clerk to support increasing customer demands based at our site located in Bellshill.
Working hours:Monday – Friday 08:00‑16:30
Salary:Competitive starting salary, paid monthly.
Duties and Responsibilities:In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory, purchasing, shipping, and related records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Compile and organise data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
- Monitor stock levels and identify when replenishment is required.
- Investigate damages, inventory discrepancies, and shrinkage issues. Occasional visits to the Coldstore may be needed–full PPE is provided. This is primarily an office‑based role.
- Locate products to verify correct product IDs, perform regular cycle counts, and support full physical inventory checks.
- Review stock numbers, pallet IDs, approved substitutes, and other key information using catalogues, manuals, and product lists to ensure shipping order accuracy.
- Review inventory files to identify unused, excess, or damaged items and recommend appropriate disposition.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist with new goods‑in and goods‑out booking requests via Outlook and, occasionally, by phone.
- Previous experience of stock control.
- Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
- Computer literate, i.e., a confident user of all Microsoft packages & Outlook.
- Excellent organisation and administration skills.
- Confident communicator both face‑to‑face and over the telephone.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team in a fast‑paced environment.
